  • Here is a Copy of what I posted Before : Find your self a Tub that can hold water big enff that you cap put the hole pan in wile holding it on bolth sides and deap enff that you can sink you pie tin in. In your Empty pie tin add a hand full of Classiffied Materal. Set down in frount of the tub with enuf room to move comfertably. Facing the Pie tin Dip the Closet Side in the water and lift you need to move the Materal around prety vigurasly, this motion will lift all the Materal in the pan making it Boyant, now that everything is Wet slowly domp out the Water, Now you are going to Dip the Pan agin and with a movement of your Rist lift it out of the waterstrait up this will Make a Wave in your pan that runs to the other side repeat this motion to make your materal Boyant agin. Now you are going to Dip the Edge of the Pan in the Water and make the wave, Slowly Wash of the Top layer of Sands Repeat this untell you have Black sand Showing.. Taa Daa Now Your Pannin ........ A nuther tip is to hold the pan in one hand with enuff water to cover the sand move it aroud Vilently the you going to Tap the Pan agenst your other hand moving the pan and Not your free hand Tilt the pan to one side contenue to tap,Now STOP holding the pan at an angel this Stoping of movement will let every thing fall Locking up the Materal Now do the Wave agin and wash off the top sands.. Try this and let us know if you see black sand. ........

  • Hi Dustin,  Like your set up but I think you should set your sluce up in the kitchen.  Just kidding!!  I do mine in the basement. Bought a tub at Wall-Mart. One of those storage tubs about 15in wd and 5 or 6 in deep & 22in lg, and I use a safety  pan to pan into.  Ther'er right with the practice.  An old timer showed me how to pan way back in the 40's & I'm still learning.  Hope you pan turns yellow, Dick

  • it is my mini bucket sluice concentrator i set up in a plastic tun on the kitchen table dusty

  • Those horse grain buckets are perfect!  Nice wide opening but not too deep!  I've used gravel in those to draw horses in to halter.  Just takes a little shake and they think they are going to get a little grain.  I never thought of panning out that gravel beforehand!  LOL!

  • I was using horse grain buckets, not pretty to look at,but it worked

  • Hey I can't imagine you being bad at panning maurice after all the pics I seen. But I will practice and practice
