  • WOw that makes sense to me,Thank you Dennis. This weekend I'm going back and trying that! If it will quit snowing here ......Getting snow and wind today yuck.

  • Good way of putting it Spur!!

  • Think of them Colverts like a giant sluice all the heavies will be on the Inlet side and what you are working here is the tailing pile with lighter material. The bridge is like a giant Dam stopping the gold and letting it fall out of motion.
  • Nope,no gold. Still got a couple buckets here at home to do. This I dont think is gonna be a likely place, but Im gonna try every place I come across this summer . I'm determined. Plus its just good ole fun to be out doing it.

  • I didnt do that Tim,but I am gonna try now!!!!!! Thank you

  • Hi Lew. Nope I didnt find any color. Did bring a couple buckets home, havent got to them yet. Thank you for the luck also,I think Im gonna need it. Have you been out yet?

  • This was the same place I went back to from December. I did go to the other side also, but it was pretty deep right close to the culverts above the waist . I thought maybe this summer when it gets warmer I could really search it. There isint much gravel  here on the bottom. By everyones pictures I always see gravel or the stoney bottom not here . SO Im thinking this might be a no color area, but I still gotta try . I will do that Dennis.

  • Wow That's a true Prospector :)  You should try the other side of the Bridge where the water comes down the stream and hits a wall or has to slow, and when the water goes down grab the first few feet of them tunnels (colverts?) Dennis
