I like to prospect by a" never say die" attitude...you know, go with my gut feeling. I have one area in particular that I just KNOW that there is good gold there...even though I haven't found much yet. I like to think that I just haven't looked in the right place yet. Maybe DickB is right, maybe you should try the upstream side next time. Keep up the good work...it will pay-off eventually!!
Yes Maurice it does work slick as slick can be. I only had to pump it a few times before it was primed and ready to go. When I got the stone stuck in there it was so easy to get it out. I just took the nozzle out of the water pumped and there we go back in buisness. The buckets actually went pretty fast. I would pump really fats cause it was cold out, then when I would tire out I slowed down and it still worked just as good. I'm so happy I got this dredge. Thanks Maurice. I'm glad I ordered from you. Now I did the second one.
I got one plug that was it. I got 9 buckets filled, didn't take that long at all. Probably 2 hours, but I had to keep getting out and putting my hands near the fire to get them warm. It worked very, very good. Sure did take a lot of time out of shoveling it into the buckets. Plus I could get in some of the cracks that normally I couldn't have. I'am defenitely going to buy a 2nd one for my friend. Two of us can cover a lot of ground with them. Now to be able to use my sluice.
I started here instead of going upstream because I noticed the terrain built up around the culverts was all sand bags. So I knew that had to be a place where it had flooded before. I have never been to this side of the river before. The bottom was and had quite a lot of gravel in it. Not to often I find that around here, mostly sand and silt in the streams and creeks. Had to give it a try.
Looks like fun! I'll have one of those gold n sand dredges before spring. How long does it take to fill that bucket? Any trouble with it plugging up or anything?

I agree with Tim Dusty. Good to see you out working with it! Works pretty slick doesnt it?

Try the up stream end also, gold will get caught there first, but thats a good place to keep looking. Dickb
Haven't classified any of it yet. But it was really, really cold. I had to try the hand dredge out. Love it!
Now that's dedication!! I like it! Hope it was worth your while.
