  • There beautiful animals. I have them all over here in Washington.  Several nests around the area. They ravish the fish hatchery when the salmon spawn in november. You will see 5-25 of them at a time. Its amazing.

    Nice photo too. 

  • I have never seen one of these in person until last weekend.  Wife and I were scouting potential prospecting sites in Plumas County in Nor. Cal. Highway 70 along the Feather River.  She saw one in a tree at a great distance.  I got hero points when she pulled out her new camera and the zoom lense and was able to get close enough for a picture.  It was an amazing bird as we watched it fly up the canyon.  I was still doubtful what we saw so I googled "bald eagle sightings in Plumas County"  and found alot of recent chatter about persons seeing the same bird.  Hope this was not the only time I see one of these.
