Howard, I think the Applegate area is a little further south if I'm not mistaken. If you were to get off Interstate 5 at Grants Pass and drive west along the Rouge River for about 20 miles, it crosses a huge cement bridge that is the confluence of the Rouge and Graves Creek.
Graves Creek in southern Oregon, state officials want to close it off to prospecting and make it wild and scenic. What, we ain't hurting anything! This portion is listed in the GPAA claims book and is heavily worked, even though you'd never know by the looks of it.
