Be careful Dennis. You don't want to get caught in a cave-in. A 6ft man can be killed by 4ft of dirt caving in on him. You can build cribbing just a little smaller that your hole. as you dig deeper, you can add to the top, and slide it down. you can also use it as a ladder to climb in and out of the hole. Did some Test Holes with a 3/4 pvc pipe and Hit Hard Rock at 4' More, My Dowsing Rods Go Crazy Here and its Out of the Way
