  • JIMBO hows the gold going? You ever going to make it back west?
  • goodmornnig Jim, check out goldcatindustries.com, i got the bobcat...Tim said it should ship out in 2 weeks.
  • Jim,
Thanks for the response, will probably see you down south in a month.
  • Jim,
Appreciate the response, we'll have to do a little searching on the internet.
Am trying to build a sluicebox from pictures off the internet, not sure how good my design is. What is a good substitute for miners-moss? Does anyone find much with just a sluice, or do most use dredges and high-bankers?
Looking forward to it, hope the weather is warm and dry.

  • Jim Hamilton,
We are going to try and get down to Gatesville. Not sure where we are going to stay. I have seen some people on the central indiana club site asking for membership cards. Is that something we need? I thought there were no membership fees for that club.
Do you have any idea who we could talk to about where to stay in that area? Appreciate the help......bj
  • Jim,
If that is the outing in Gatesville we may try to go down. We don't have a camper and am not sure if Pat would stay in a tent if we could find one to borrow. Are there any motels close to where the outing is held?
  • Jim,
We live in north central Indiana, what part of Illinois are you from? Where do you go in Indiana to prospect? I would assume it is in southern indiana. What method of prospecting, sluicing, dredging?
