    FYI,

    You can attend and LDMA outing if a GPAA member once a year as a guest.   A non GPAA member can be invited once a year as well.  And no Stanton AZ is not for sale.  A lot of work is and has been going on at the Stanton site as of late.  Still some good time and good area to get gold in that area.  April outing is on for 2015 here in a few months.

    latest rumor is Athens Camp may be getting put up for sale. Sure hope not. I'm here in MI and its the only spot in the state I will not get hassled for churning dirt.

    When I called the GPAA In Dec last year to ask why I couldnt find the outing for Stanton on new years they told me that they were going in a different direction and you had to be a LDMA member to go to any outings. I think its a way to get more members for the LDMA. At that time they let  me join for 150 down and 5o bucks a month.

    Joe,

         From what I've heard, there are no outings scheduled for this year.  No specific reason given.  Several folks are getting together Memorial Day week at Loud Mine in Georgia.  A few GPAA members have been invited as well.  We're making our own outing - sans the heavy equipment.  You are welcome to join us, no promises of gold but good times are to be had.  Great group of people.

      Thanks for the invite.  Right now I'm in Congress AZ.  Tried to find the camp, but after driving down the Stanton road (wash board effect)  I gave up for today.  Thanks again.
