Okay guys, here's the situation,

               As of right now, I am currently e-mailing Nancy DeFalco at GPAA headquarters, about the possibility of creating a Northwestern New Mexico Chapter, that would include the Southwest portion of Colorado, the southeast portion of Utah, and the Northeast part of Arizona. This would obviously blow the whole 100 mile radius idea entirely out of the water, as it would  take up that much in each of the 4 states involved, OR----

   I could create a chapter just in the Northwestern part, and invite anyone that wants to join.

   Either way, here's what needs to happen,

First, I need to find out EXACTLY how many members are in the area, and would I be overlapping into another Chapters region.

Second, a meeting place, a date,(preferrably the 1st, or 2nd Saturday of the month) and a time(say from, oh, 1;00PM to 3:00PM

Third, I need enough people interested, that we can elect officers, and set up some by-laws, and other various club essentials

As for a name for this Chapter, "Four Corners Sourdoughs" seems to be the obvious choice, unless someone has a better name, like "Northwestern New Mexico Prospectors" or something.

I will be looking diligently for a meeting place, someplace we can meet cheap, or free of charge.

Of course GPAA rules state that we cannot charge dues, but, if enough people join, we can set up a donation jar, to help fund the price of a good meeting place, or a permanent meeting hall for the club, as well as purchasing some mining equipment.

Either way, I'd like some input from all of you on this matter, and if you know of anyone that would be interested.
