I seen a few of these for sale on various prospecting supply sites and figured I would make a video to show everyone how easy they can make these themselves. The video is about 20 minutes and shows every detail and steps.
Important note: A few friends tried these and said that the ABS Cement dried a little to fast for them so you may want to use silicone instead. If you do, give the inside of the couplings and outside of the pipe where the coupling fits over a little sanding (before you fit all the parts together). Also, when you put the coupling on the pipe make sure you only put silicone on the outside of the pipe only and not inside the coupling (like you would if using ABS cement) - this way, when you slide the coupling on, no silicone will ooze out onto the Lexan lens as the pipe is pushing into the coupling.
Put some weight on the coupling until the silicone sets up, for some reason, when you use silicone on pipe and couplings like this, they want to slide back - not sure what the science of this is, but it happens sometimes.
