  • Anyone know of good places to dredge in Indiana without getting complaints? I wanted to go to Sugar creek in Crawfordsville, but was told no prospecting what so ever at the campground there.  What the heck???

  • Thanks John, I need to up grade my pump it works fine for the high Banker but just doesn't have the presser for the dredge.

  • Hello henry,

im no expert but on a 2 inch pump your looking for 100 gallons per min.and about 150 feet of head pressure. I used a honda gx50 with a keene p90gh pump.that will give u plenty of power.a 3 inch is a major step up in engine and pump size hope this helps a bit.

    cheers

  • Help Please, I'm working on a 2" dredge I have a 2 in suction nozzle that works. the problem I'm having is my pump is to week if its on lay flat hose it doesn't provide any real suction but will work OK with ridged hose. What Kind of GPM and PSI are normally needed for a 2" or 3" dredge.

  • I learned a valuable lesson from my last outing with my dredge.  It is when you are removing sand overburden  it is wise to clean out the box prior to working the hardpack under. I am sure I loaded up the box with black sand and blew out the gold.

  • undefined lower sluice lots of black sands

  • Thank you looking forward to connecting with you
  • Bill it has a 5.5 HP Honda and not sure what size the pump was, bought it used.
