Two tiny nuggets

Got hurt pretty bad today. saw these 2 in the +20s. black looks like 80-200 flakes of flour. never looked at the +1/8. The very thing i warned about. The boulder sounded like muted thunder. I was working looking upstream and it had enough velocity to roll right up out of a 8 foot deep hole and head straight for me and the sluice. I jumped too hard. Might be Achilles tendon or torn calf muscle. One calf is twice the size of the other. The 5 foot wide monster rolled by the sluice at about a foot away and didnt even knock it out of balance. If I was on the other side of the sluice working and looking down river i wouldnt be writing this. Please pay attention to the warning. I will tryo to post whatever came out of the gallon of cons tomorrow if I can stand up to work them.

  • Thats some of that real dense concentrate I mentioned. Someone called it elf vomit one time lol. The baby blue and lime green stones clog the riffles pretty good. About average for garnets if you get 8-10 buckets. The water was on both banks so high for this time of year. I expected the scour would all be exposed, but it was all under. Still barely able to get around the house. Enough to take care of the dog and me. Counting my blessings.

  • What is that, aquarium sand?

Sorry to here about the leg, hope you are back up and "running" soon.  That must have been some swift water.  Yes, always be aware of your surroundings.
