How do you keep the gold hog mats in the sluice? Are they glued in?

I have the same dredge and I'm having trouble with a lot material getting under the top mat and very little material being on top of the top mat. Do you have any suggestions? Or can you post a picture of how you have your top mat in the sluice. Thanks
