  • Yee Haaw Sounds like a Great Time You Defenetly have coverd all the bases can't whait to see them big Az Nuggets
  • Thanks for the help....Better I get some advice here and now as opposed to getting out there and not having a clue. I value any criticism that might help me be more successful. I'm ready for the rain!! I'm bringing all my highbanking gear, tubs for recirculating, crack vac, and a metal detector. Somehow, someway...we're looking for gold!

  • Front

  • Here is a look at mt Riffle tray you can see the Blocks under the Muslim. Mine are tords the top but most other Metal DryWashers use an L-Metal (allthough I have seen some with a Z-Bar) The bottom Bar faces out. Hey don't get us wrong You Did a Great Job just some tweeks but I think it is Raining in Az.

  • What type of nylon would you suggest? Would the material from a pair of stockings stretched to the edges of the bottom of the riffle tray work? or would that be too sheer? With regards to the blocks, I could cut a piece of 1/4 inch plywood that would fit perfectly onder the riffle tray and cut out the spaces between the riffles and make areas directly under the riffles wider so there will be some area that won't have air flow.....Am I on the right track?

  • Well if you had a dead zone blocks under each riffle you would not have that much air flow but sence they are so close Mabie they will replace the blocks. The dead zone is where the gold falls. can you lift the Riffle tray. I didn't use the nylon either it just seamed a little much lol. Wish I knew how to Calculate air flow in Sq inches, you should have enuff. I think the fan your refuring to is for Vibration. It Looks Good and sounds like fun
  • Looks Great  guess I will have to try Dry washing one day !

  • very nice looking dry washer

  • Hi Scott,

I sure will. I think I'm headed to the Weaver Mining District around Wickenburg first. I hope the ground won't be too moist...If so, I'm bringing my Highbankers and pumps then hit some wet areas near Prescott.

  • Hi Spur,

I have a 5 inch Fan from a Jobe Stallion going in and I will place a baffle over the fan to help equalize the pressure and will try a 200mph+ leaf blower initially (we'll see how that goes), and sandwiched the muslin between the riffle board and some stiff perforated sheetmetal (alum.). I'm not going to sweat the static cling. If my riffles are too close, how can that affect the unit? Thanks...Bob
