My first ring find

Found this tonight at a ball park in Wausau WI. It was the only target I decided to dig up and I'm sure glad I did. Looks like its gold plated and it's missing two of the rocks on it. I will have to check if its genuine, but it sure made my day.

  • Nice find!

  • Real or not nothing beats the feeling of seeing it for the first time and anticipation of real or fake. Keep at it....theres more to be found! Just a word of advice.....dont just dig a certian tone or number. Learn the machine. For instance....I dug a cool silver ring at 2" that rang up like a dime and gave a consistent 82 on my AT Pro. Then I dug a similar silver ring at 6" that rang up less than a nickel or pull tab. I almost skipped it as I was thinking foil. Every direction I swung at it from showed a consistent 47 and gave a high tone chirp now and then....glad I dug it! If I had to guess....I would say 80% of the rings I found have showed up as pulltabs.....dig those signals not just the "pretty" signals :)    HH

  • I had a buddy come over with a diamond tester and it appears that they are fake. I had a hunch they would be knowing the ring was electro plated. There's always more rings out there!
  • Ace 350 and AT Pro. Found many rings with both. A long handled scoop at beaches takes a lot of knee bends out of the equasion :)
  • What kind of rig do you use Bob? I think I might want to do something like that, if my knees will let me.

  • Rings are fun to find. Many more to come.
  • very nice
