Facing forward and LED not fired LED is visible 360 degrees. It blinks at a rate on once every second. Waterproof and the 9v battery will last about 3 months continues. I have tested them at 20 degrees F. I have one mounted on my dredge and everyone thinks I have a alarm on it.
