  • Several of us were chatting last night about all kinds of things relating to gold.  Finding gold came up.  This image shows a lidar view of a ravine (top to bottom, about 1/4 mile).  The previous image is the same location using an aerial photo.  Most states have lidar images available of varying quality.  The differences and how one can use these images to prospect speak for themselves.  Indiana tools allow one to layer topos, lidar, soil types, state forest boundaries (important here), trails, etc..
