It's from a creek. I'm really amazed at where gold shows up in Georgia. The GPAA Buchanan claim is a creek in the middle of a farm (flat land). I had thought that you had to hit the big rivers out west to find gold, but it's in the small creeks that feed this lake. I've never been skunked here, unlike Dahlonega.
