  • Fortunately there is not much overburden while sniping in some area where the bedrock is being exposed. It has been actively searched over the years by many people and I have been lucky to find some left overs.

The whole area is under claims. As a weekend prospector, nothing much I can do with a pick, shovel and pan. But check this web site: http://www.uragold.com/

There is quite a bit of info on the placer gold found on their property.

By the way, they don't allow anyone snooping on their property and I respect that.

There is more than a dozen of other rivers to explore, that's fine with me.

  • really enjoyed the sniping videos. Just out of curiosity, on average, how much overburden are you moving to get to the gold? doesn't look like much.
  • It took me 3 seasons to find this great spot. Lots of exploring indeed. This is from sniping, about 3 hours work. Check video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEqUY09XQ9k
  • Great stuff! Are you sluicing, dredging etc? How long did this take for that type of color? Would love to hear story
