I did some research of some old homesteads in my county in the Mendocino national Forest hoping to test my new Coiltek “digger” coil. I then drove 3 hours to get to them and was not successful locating them the old homesites. Stopped for a quick break on the way home and started swinging the detector adjacent to the road in a small meadow. I located these coins in about 10 minutes. I can’t explain why this area had coins and I was very excited that I may locate silver. What I found instead was a 125 pound 5-8 inch TALKING BALL AND CHAIN. It was in the passenger seat of my car complaining she was tired and cold and demanding I stop detecting and drive use home. I was crushed. Now I must drive back 3 hours. I wish she could understand my addiction to pulling coins from the ground.

It's the 3 Hz I am not sure seems give signals just like my eliptical coil that came with it. I am going to do some side by side tests in my yard next week with coins/trash/silver/gold to see any differences. To busy making classifiers this week to keep up with the orders. I guess that's a good thing though, to have to much business. Ill post some test results next week
thats ok Bradley. Most people don't understand why a grown man (or woman) would drive 4-5 hours or more, spend god knows how much on gas and supplies, and possibly burn up a vacation day from work just to go out and swing a metal detector and be happy about it finding a small handful of change. or prospecting all weekend and finding 25-30 small flakes. If you got to explain yourself, they probably wouldn't get it anyway. Welcome to the sickness that we enjoy.
Next time let her do some swinging, Bradley. Then maybe she will grow the addiction just as you have! LOL!! At least you know where to stop again next trip.
