  • For sure! It's accessable year round. They plow it up to the dam. It's quite popular with the snowmobilers and hikers. The trail stays nice and packed down, even in heavy snow.
  • Do you think you can still get up there after todays snow? I would love to get some panning done. I have the winter mining itch.

  • Oh yeah, gold to be found year round! I park at the dam and walk up. I have found gold below the dam, it's spotty but there.
  • Holy cow, I didn't think you could get far enough up AF to find gold this time of year.

  • Matt

It works really well! I ran it a week ago against my

A-51 with goldhog mats, which is my favorite sluice. I just barely did the clean up tonight. Pretty much the same amount of gold from each sluice. Vast vast improvement over the bazooka. I'll post pics of the last clean up this weekend. And yes this is AF canyon. Not much snow for this time of the year. It does flow all year, which I do take advantage of. Last trip it was a brisk 15 degrees when I got out of the truck, but a nice 45 degrees on the way out.

  • Nice

  • I would like to know how well that sluice works, I was looking to get one. What canyon is this? Cant be AF this time of year...

  • This is a new grizzly gold trap sluice I was just given. Really impressed with it. Big improvement over the bazookas, which I have three of.
