Gold seekers staff

At the bottom of the tube are 6 rare earth 3/4 round magnets. Used to locatate magnetite. When the bottom of your staff is loaded with magnetite you are in a good spot for gold to settle. Simple construction, simply effective. It's a good tool cause it will indicate whether the location you would want prospect is viable before you would even have to do a test pan. Hats off to Larry S. for telling me about it.

  • Nice good idea

  • I forgot to mention in the video that you can use it as a hiking stick when prospecting remote locations and that the staff can allow you to reach into difficult spots, wet or dry. I also thought it might come in handy for a metal detecting tool to locate magnetic items. Instead of sifting through the dirt just have the end of the staff pick up the target.
  • I used it in some buckets of pay that I know is gold bearing that I'm later going to sluice. Not only was there a lot of magnetite on it but there were smaller pebbles stuck to it that were magnetic. Larry told me he can get a lot a fine gold he can recover from the magnetite after crushing it and running the crushed magnetite through his sluices.
