The call came in at 9:41am, from a good buddy. His 20-year-old daughter and some friends had cut through the golf course and field behind their home last night to attend a house party, and she somehow lost her new cell phone. Hunting parties of 10-12 kids had been out since first light (I guess a college girl's cell phone is pretty important!), searching the tall grass and the rough on the edges of the course with no luck. My bud knows I'm a gold prospector and beach hunter, and asked if one of my detectors might be able to find the phone. I was on the case! Ten-minutes of swinging in the grass with 20-year-old girls and - BINGO! My very first Cell Phone Recovery! The smile on my friend's face, his wife and daughters' - paid for my new Sand Shark three-times over today (and the hugs and kisses from all the coeds was a treat to!). Sometimes life is Sweet!

I just was visiting there a couple of Christmas' ago. Packed the MD with me, knowing that I'd have access to the beach and all! Brought some KY luck with me, I guess!
Here is my one (and only) gold ring found while detecting, with the hallmark inset on the photo. Found it up in the dry sand at Pt. Pleasant Beech, NJ. Have found a handfull of silver rings (plus lots of "fake" or toy rings), but sure would like some more gold ones! Good luck!
ROTFLMAO! Thank's for the comments one and all! Yeah, I finally fufilled a fantasy about swinging with a bunch of college girls. Too bad I had to wait until they all reminded me of my own kids and -- oh my God -- Grandkids! I have been busting my pattootie trying to find that first gold ring on the beach, and I ended up detecting a priceless moment yesterday on dry land with good friends. Guess there is a lesson in there somewhere!

Hey Terry, that's the new Sand Shark? Are they available to the public yet? How's the depth? Isn't the Sand Shark PI?
Inquiring detectorists would like a review.

Nice find Terry! And the cell phone recovery was a bonus.
