  the ole mighty missouri is raging like a mad hatter in nw missouri 5 levee breaks north of me 2 about 15 miles south and 1 about to happen right in town on the ingustrial park side of town.  that is where our power plant is.i am  getting half dozen deep cycle marine and  diesel battries, power converter, and 4 solar panells  that should keep my fridge tv computer and one room  running with half dozen fans .they say the water should stay at this level for about a month .dont think it will hold you can stomp water puddles on it now not good

  That's such a shocker! I've never known that river to rise so high!? Who could have predicted it?! I hope you guys have a safe haven.

  we are so sorry,we live in cali.and to see this from were we are it seems sureal.but we've had our share of floods and fires & earthquakes.and a tsunami to boot.our prayers go out to you all.

  The Corp said that the water by the house is 60 to 70 feet deep it was 6 to 10 feet at the start of the flood.
