Bucket Cart1

Got tired of hauling heavy buckets from the creek up to my truck. The little wagon I have doesn't work very well mostly cause the tires are too small. So I built this thing. It works wonderfully. Got it balanced so that with 2 full buckets you are only holding 10 to 15 lbs, the rest of the weight is on the tires. The bucket holders swivel some what to help keep the buckets level. It is basically a 2 wheeled wheelbarrow. Going up hill, it is better to pull it then to try to push it. The handles are a little awkward for pulling, so I need to put a couple straps on them so my hands don't get tired.

  • Isn't it easier to work the material down at the creek and just bring the concentrates back to the truck in Zip Lock bags?

Nice cart tho. I built a flatbed cart  from a modified deer cart but the wheels and axle are 16 inch spoked bike wheels and steel axle which added a lot of weight to the aluminum tube frame which I don't like.

Back to the drawing board I guess. I have seen foldup little red wagons at the hardware store with canvas sides and 10 inch wheels, wonder if they are worth a try ,cost is around 90 bucks? There are motorized wheel barrows but they run $400 and up...

  • looks really nice keith

  • GREAT idea. I like!!.     Be careful with straps on the hand holds. I can see myself slipping a shoe and down the hill I go attached to the cart by my wrist.
