Hi, Faaus !
I'm new to this site ... and I make lots of blunders! LOL
Tim suggested I contact you about gold tips in this area ( I'm in central NC ). I have this "toy" I play with ( when it's warm!!) that really speeds up the gold search. But, other than pay-to-pan sites, there doesn't appear to be much around here.
Zina, remember I said that I have examined thousands of pieces of quartz, but I only found gold in two of them.
Please remember to wear goggles, gloves and cover all exposed flesh when you attack quartz. The dust is a bit hazardous (prolonged exposure can lead to slilicosis) and the shards breaking off will cut like broken glass. Be safe, and stay around to prospect for a good long time.
