I fixed it without switching settings or browsers. I think there is a hidden requirement along side the 10 mb limit . I think it may have a max height x width limit as well. Mine was a wide screen photo and by trimming the width it went through fine. Thanks everyone for the tips
yes I did have a problem with getting my profile picture to post, the only way I got it to work was to download Google 's chrome I do not know why but I can post other pictures just fine just not my profile picture. I don't care for Google Chrome so once I got my profile picture to post I canceled it so now I'm stuck with it LOL I hope this helped some it's the only thing that worked for me.
Actually William this was a test photo because I'm having issues changing my profile picture...I can add photo's normally but It won't let me update/change my profile picture Ken mentioned you went through a similar issue ? Any idea of the remedy ?

Mine is under 700KB and a JPG. Still won't allow.
It says "Upload a new photo (GIF, JPG or PNG; limit 10MB)"
Jeron, is the photo you try to upload is of acceptable extension e.g JPG, PNG, ....etc?
May be it is greater than 10 MB?
I have the same problem. Can't upload a profile photo. Wish I knew the answer.
