  • Hi Paul!

My parents winter in New Smyrna Beach. They will be headed back to VT. in April. Then, at the end of Nov, they turn around again. My dad is retired from the VT State Police, my mom makes all kinds of crafts and sells them.

You mentioned that you will be hitting NH. as well. Twin River Campground at the junction of 302 & 112 would be great for you. This is where the Wild Ammonoosuc River is. Good place to pan. They rent out sluice boxes as well in their nice little store.

  • Welcome to GPS from Indiana, Hope you enjoy the site

  • Paul: If you're coming to the northern portion of Vermont this summer (2017), I would suggest an area around Stowe. Historically, Gold Brook, just a little south of Stowe, is the place to go. There are a few other gold-bearing rivers just north of Gold Brook, too. When you're sure you're coming, give me another shout out, and I'll give you some specific streams to get on the gold. Do you have relatives in the area, or are you just visiting this beautiful state? -- Ron Lewis, Brandon
