  • Watson  Have you read  Lake Sacramento by Hunsaker.  The story is about a flood that hit the west in the 1860s. A lot of gold was deposited high up the banks of the streams and major rivers from the high water. Most prospectors do not look for the high water line. It is on line as well as the Diary of a 49er by Canfield. Steven

  • Since the rains started I ave been spending 3 days a week working the local streams for nuggets. I find a few most every time I go out. i like the winter and the rain,  no one out in the forest to question you about what you are doing. Steven

  • Well not last weekend but this coming weekend, Jesse Mendez and I are heading south to prospect with Scott in SW Ohio. I am looking forward to be outing on the river and enjoying some good company..
