Road trip

Hello all, I am doing a road trip up to Petoskey Mi. Oct 12th for a few days. I am taking the wife to check out the fall colors and do some rock hounding. I am also taking my pan in hopes of finding color of my own. Anyone have any Idea where i might be able to dip my pan? ( besides Lake Mi.).
