I'm planing to build a 3" dredge but most of the gold I'm finding in my area is micro -100 and smaller but there is plenty of it. Any tip's or ideas that would help would be greatly appreciated thanks
Thanks Ken for the advice. I think I will buy enough of both for my 48" river sluice and do a 1 gram test just to see, or possibly try a variation of both
i use the vortex mat in a banker dredge combo as well as in both a 4 inch and a 5 inch dredge have used it for better then 40 years and have never looked back we also run it in a full size trommel operation gold recovery has been great over the years
I would outfit it with goldhog mats. They really hold on to the gold, no matter the size. I put them in my A-51 and have been super impressed with the amount of -100 in the clean ups. Doc recommends multiple mats for different capture zones.
