Alabama DCNR Rules and New Proposal

http://www.outdooralabama.com/proposed-dcnr-rules
Alabama Department of Conservation & Natural Resources has several new proposed rules coming up. Im sure you or someone you know will be adversely affected by some of these new "rules" You should contact your Senator and/or Representative addressing your concerns.
Document 220-4.-15 is the one most of you should be concerned with as it will affect you in some shape, form or fashion, so please share this. Paragraph (L) in particular needs to be omitted or changed.

Thank You  Jimmie E and Ron Harrison for sharing and posting this information

  • Paragraph L prohibits the removal ( or disturbance)  of anything on the bottom of a waterway declared as  navigable by the state.   A game warden in Wadley has stated  dredging on the Tallapossa will be illegal , and enforced) after Jan 1, 2017. Doesn't matter who owns adjacent land.  The river bottom is ( by law) state property.  Creeks or non - navigable water is controlled by property owners.  I verified this with Dept of Conservation

  • I found out that this is nothing really new other than the last paragraph in the regulation. I dont remember but believe it has something to do with AKIHOL. I would carry on business as usual just proceed with caution.
