  • Like I said, I thought he was talking about the dredge in the picture above.  I will erase my comments.

  • ron its like an over kill with the pumps and motors that  are rated at so many gph and pressure but i feel n think its better to have it that way so your nor haveing to run the motor at maximun throttel saves the life of the motor  you gain more gph with water from the pump  if bering used on a dredge your adding more water with the suction hose which increases the gph by 2 to 3 times depending on the size of the hose by changeing the motor  and setting it up right most pumps will work fair its a combanatipn of balenced pressure and volume

  • I was thinking that I don't need an engine when I have the power of the river to use. No gas, No oil, No pump, No permits, No EPA, The list go's on.

  • I was just thinking about building a floating sluice, or an engineless and pump-less dredge, and am trying to figure out the size of things I will need! I am just going off what a 4" dredge would be at.

  • chris maxiu, gph and presure is obtained at full throttel of motor n pump depending on the hp pf motor and tp make of pump  my 4 inch 3 stage dredge with 6.5 hp motor and p180 keenne pump put out 310 gal per min at full throttel so it onley needs to be run at less then 1/2 throttel not sure as to the presure it put s out but it more then enoughi think the pump you have  hooked to a bigger motor would run a 4  inch singel stage dredgeif your pump has a 2.5 intake and a 2 inch discharge

    get back to me

  • Anyone know about how many gph of water flow go threw a 4" dredge and about what psi that water flow might be?

  • I have decided to re-build it, as far as I can tell I will need new 1) floats "would like to go with plastic" 2) A frame "might come with the floats"  3) Suction hose "will have to figure out diameter & length"

  • If you successfully revived it , it would be a cool toy !

  • i think it is steve

  • Nice I would get that baby running!!!
