Thanks guys. I have one of the propane water heaters. I tried it out but couldn't get it going right. I'll have put a little concentration into it. but still looking into the muffler one.
I use a dry suit if the water is too cold for a wet suit. The downside is you need to wear more dive weights. On the other hand, a wet suit heater is more stuff to take and more things that can go wrong. That said, if I was to build a wet suit heater, I would consider one like this:

The muffler one can get a little hot under the collar... I'll show you how to tune in your propane water heater. Its all about the flow rate...
