The Gold Hog Multi Sluice

Does anyone have experience with this for clean ups? Ive watched the videos on this but he only nets about an ounce or so of gold. How would this handle a little more gold.....say 5 or 10 ounces or so? It looks like a nice concentrator so if anyone has any input, it would be appreciated. Thanks

  • Rayzer, I did use the more aggressive mat prior to this. It was only my 2nd time using it. I dont have much time to play around with it now but I may sooner or later. My angles were spot on with the recommendations provided. I dont mind running the material through several times. I will be dredging a little more soon and will do a clean up again and play around with it a bit.
  • Run through my own clean up box which yields about 1/8 of a 5 gallon bucket of material first. Nothing more than 1/4 inch
  • MDV had it right on the head there Jimmie. It is all about the water flow rate, classifcation, pitch, etc.  but even as doc shown on his video and as the saying goes "It all Starts and ends with the Pan"

  • Works ok. Have to run the material three or 4 times to get the gold. It does cut down on panning times.
  • Look forward to seeing some gold!

  • I pulled the trigger and bought one today. Ill play with it at home for a few days before I send it to our work site~ cheers boys
    • Jimmie when your running that amount of concentrates with a unknown amount of gold that is when the aggressive mat comes into play  and after that has concentrated your material then you run the washer mat the system really does work , while back i made a video with running the multi sluice into a gold cube because i had 20 gallons of cons to run , Was the any gold in the Cube ? Yes but not much and i didn't have to rerun all 20 gallons  all i had to do was run about 3 gallons through the washer mat

  • I have one and they work great. If you have 5 to 10 ounce cleanups I want to move to where you are. I think everyone on the site would like to have that problem.
  • If not, I'm seriously thinking of "trying" one and if I do I will report back. Thanks bud!
