  • I use jet dry and a scoop of black sands and garnet sands to rough up all my pans.  works great.   And always always scuff them and get the releasing agent off or flour gold will float away as Miner Matt said.

  • Sand blast them. Takes all of 45 seconds
  • To scuff or not to scuff.  Scuff it up.  All new pans have a mold release agent on them.  You need to clean all that oily stuff off or you'll gold will float and you won't keep the gold in your pan.  I do exactly what John Higginbotham said.  I then wear a good pair of gloves, and scratch it up with some sand and gravel I've saved from my old cons.  It works great.

  • I would. I use soft scrub and green scotch bright pad on all mine.

  • I scuff all my pans
