From what I've read there are less known areas in Escondido CA to go prospecting. It's the closest place from where I live but I'm not finding any information on where exactly. Does anyone have knowledge on the area? I'd like to just go and prospect without having to join a club. I'm poor but I do own a nice sluice. It took 2 years to get it ready and I've only went prospecting once with it. It needs to get wet and I need a gold fix. I appreciate any information I can get. Thanks in advance.

Escondido is pretty populated these days. I'd go up to East fork of San Gabriel River out of Azusa.
